Sopuruchi is a lawyer trained in Nigeria, teacher, and community organizer deeply committed to social justice, education, and environmental advocacy. Currently pursuing his PhD at the University of British Columbia, Sopuruchi has over a decade of legal and academic experience across Nigeria, United Kingdom, India, and Canada. He brings a global, grassroots-informed perspective to his work. His advocacy blends research, policy, and practice, especially around access to education, human rights, and legal empowerment for marginalized people.
Chinenye Helen Eze is a PhD Candidate at the Peter Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. She has an LL.B from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, a Masters in Law from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a Masters in Law from the Allard School of Law. Chinenye's research focuses on intellectual property law, social justice issues, and critical theories and issues affecting Blacks and other marginalized groups. Her research is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Allard Law Scholarship and the University of British Columbia's Four-year doctoral fellowship.
Dr. Odionu is a lawyer with extensive legal practice experience abroad. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of British Columbia, where he was awarded the SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship and received the Dean of Law PhD Dissertation Prize. He also holds an LLM from the University of Saskatchewan and an LLB from the University of Jos. His work primarily focuses on business, environmental, sustainability, and human rights issues.
Dr. Iyanuoluwa Adelusi is a medical doctor and certified data analyst committed to advancing health equity and social justice for BIPOC and historically marginalized communities. With professional experience in both Nigeria and Canada, she brings a unique perspective to community advocacy, combining clinical expertise with data-driven insights to address systemic disparities. Her work includes leading health education programs, organizing culturally sensitive outreach initiatives, and supporting vulnerable populations through inclusive, community-centered care. She is skilled in tools such as IBM Cognos Analytics, SQL, and Agile project management methodologies, which she uses to inform impactful programs and policy decisions. Dr. Iyanuoluwa Adelusi is passionate about building systems where dignity, access, and representation are foundational. She continues to champion initiatives that empower individuals and strengthen communities from the ground up.
